Yes, absolutely!

At DCF-Performance Chiptuning Maastricht, we can measure your vehicle’s power output on our 4x4 dyno. This can be done in several ways:

• a baseline dyno run before the tuning

• a verification run after the tuning

• or both, so you can clearly see the difference

This gives you a clear overview of the vehicle’s performance before and after the DCF Tune.

Stage 1 & 1+
A software optimization without the need for mechanical modifications. This is the most common form of tuning.

Stage 2
In addition to software optimization, hardware modifications are also made, such as upgrades to the exhaust system, intercooler, or intake.

Stage 3
A more extensive level of tuning that often includes major hardware upgrades, such as a larger turbocharger or upgraded fuel system.

Which stage is possible depends on your vehicle and the level of performance you are looking for. Please note that we only offer Stage 2 and Stage 3 tuning on special request. For this, please contact us by email.

In most cases, a DCF Tune takes approximately 1.5 to 2.5 hours. This depends on factors such as:

• the type of vehicle

• the type of ECU

If you also choose to have a dyno run performed, the process may take a little longer.

Before we perform a DCF Tune, we always create a backup of the original software. This allows us to restore your vehicle to its original factory settings at any time if desired.

This depends on your driving style. Because the engine runs more efficiently, fuel consumption after a DCF Tune can be lower. If you often use the extra power, consumption can also increase.

In many cases, yes, but this depends on the terms of your leasing company. Since we always create a backup of the original software, the vehicle can be restored to its factory settings at any time.

With a DCF Tune, all adjustments stay within these limits, ensuring the engine and gearbox continue to operate reliably.

On some vehicles, the added power can be used even better with a DSG or automatic transmission optimization. In this case, the gearbox software is adjusted to work more effectively with the increased engine output.

During the MOT, the focus is on vehicle safety and emissions.

A DCF Tune only adjusts the engine management software. As long as the vehicle is in good technical condition and emissions stay within legal limits, chiptuning normally does not affect the MOT result.

If you have questions or are unsure about your vehicle, you can always contact us.

It can happen that a dealer performs a software update on your vehicle.

If that happens, you can return to DCF-Performance to reinstall the DCF Tune. Please note that installation costs apply, since the tuning needs to be reinstalled.

Yes, there are a few important points to keep your vehicle safe and reliable:

• Let the engine warm up properly. Not only the coolant, but especially the engine oil must reach operating temperature. This usually takes around 10 minutes of driving on the motorway.

• Maintenance is essential. Service your car on time, use high-quality oil (preferably fully synthetic), and check oil levels regularly. The turbo can spin up to 150,000 rpm and is cooled by the oil. Good maintenance extends the lifespan of both your engine and turbo.

In most cases, no. Still, it is wise to always check this with your insurance provider so you know for sure that you remain fully covered.

In most cases, a DCF Tune does not affect the amount you pay in road tax.
